CAR ACCIDENTS: PICKUP TRUCKS INVOLVED IN FATAL INDIANA CRASH

On behalf of Rob King & Associates, Trial Lawyers posted in Car Accidents on Friday, September 18, 2015.

Head-on collisions are fairly common accidents that can have devastating results. Car accidents of this type can happen due to a variety of reasons, and a driver crossing into an opposing lane of travel is one of the most common reasons. It is not always clear why a driver may have failed to remain in the proper lane, but the results of such a collision may be all too clear.

A recent accident in Indiana had harrowing results as one individual was killed. Reports stated that a 31-year-old man was traveling south when his pickup truck crossed into the northbound lanes. As a result, that truck collided with another pickup truck that was traveling north. It was not clear at the time of the report why the southbound truck crossed into the northbound lane.

The incident led to the driver of the northbound truck suffering fatal injuries. He was reported as being 46 years old. The driver of the southbound pickup was transported from the scene by helicopter. Authorities are still continuing to investigate the accident in order to determine what factors may have contributed to the fatal event.

It is always unfortunate when car accidents result in fatalities. Because this Indiana collision had such an outcome, the family of the deceased victim may wish to explore their opportunities for filing a wrongful death claim. This type of claim may allow them to pursue compensation from the driver considered at fault for monetary and emotional losses that may have resulted from the crash.

OHIO MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LEAVES RIDER WITH SERIOUS INJURIES

On behalf of Rob King & Associates, Trial Lawyers posted in Motorcycle Accidents on Wednesday, September 2, 2015.

Numerous accidents happen every year due to vehicles turning in front of other vehicles. This type of accident is especially common when it comes to motorcycle accidents. Drivers may fail to see an approaching motorcycle, think they have enough time to turn or take various other actions that could result in a crash. If a motorcycle accident is also a hit-and-run, the situation may become more complicated.

It was recently reported that an accident in Indiana turned into a hit-and-run. Reports stated that a car made a left turn in front of a motorcycle that was traveling south. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the side of the car. The collision caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the motorcycle. The driver of the car did not remain on the scene.

The situation resulted in the 23-year-old motorcyclist suffering serious injuries. He was airlifted from the scene to an area trauma center in order to be treated. Authorities are continuing to search for the driver of the other vehicle and are also investigating the accident itself. Individuals with information regarding the crash are asked to contact the authorities.

Though the other driver involved in this motorcycle accident did not remain on the scene, there is a good chance that he or she will be located and taken into custody. When that event takes place, the motorcyclist may wish to take legal action against the driver considered responsible for the accident. Filing a personal injury claim may allow him to seek compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering and other damages permissible under Indiana law.
