A serious accident in Indiana recently left multiple people injured. It was reported that a woman was driving a vehicle with three young children inside when she slowed for traffic. The driver of the second vehicle apparently attempted to flee but was apprehended by authorities.
After being extracted from the backseat, a 2-year-old and a 9-year-old were both transported from the scene due to head injuries. A 9-month-old baby was also taken to the hospital, but the extent of that individual’s injuries were not disclosed. The woman driving the vehicle reportedly suffered a collapsed lung and was also taken for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle had a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit and is currently facing a felony OVI charge.
Because this drunk driving accident resulted in multiple serious injuries, it is possible that personal injury claims will be level against the driver considered at fault.
