While all of us are dealing with the COVID-19 crisis and the “stay at home orders“, people are still going out. Marion County has claimed to be easing certain restrictions, but as of now, most normal activities are still prohibited. Never the less, whether it’s rushing to the grocery store or needing to go to the doctor, cars are on the road. With raised anxiety, drivers may be more distracted than ever. The point is this, accidents can and will happen. Even during the Coronavirus crisis.

Now, today’s topic is focused on things you may want to consider if you’ve been injured. More importantly, we’re going to discuss things you may want to consider during our current global situation. Remember, you have rights. Accident injury victims have legal options. Our Indianapolis accident injury attorneys can help explain those rights to you, and identify options you may wish to pursue.

Finally, let’s look at some things you may want to consider if you’ve been hurt in a car crash, trucking accident, or if you’ve sustained injuries due to the negligence of another person.

Seeking Medical Attention

We believe the most important thing in life is one’s health. Both physical, and mental health. That’s why seeking medical attention after a car crash is so important. Another big reason why going to a hospital or being examined by a doctor is critical after a car crash centers around documentation. Insurance companies are not on your side. They take every advantage they have to avoid paying out on injury claims. If you fail to document your injuries and link them to the crash, you may be fighting an uphill battle.

That’s why you may need an injury attorney. We know the games insurance companies play, and we know how to put pressure on them to pay you. If you’ve been hurt in a car crash, lean on us. For over 20 years we’ve helped our clients win tens of millions of dollars.

Talking to an Injury Attorney Prior to an Insurance Company

Talking to an injury attorney prior to an insurance company may be beneficial. Most people understand that if they were to be questioned by the police, they should talk to an attorney first. It’s kind of the same situation with injuries. See, the insurance company who is “supposed” to pay you employs adjusters, underwriters, and their own lawyers. The job of those employees is to investigate your claim, and to determine if they should payout on it. Sometimes they may try to trip you up verbally or use certain information against you.

Let a tenured Indianapolis personal injury attorney help represent your claim. We fight to get you paid, and best of all, we deal with the insurance company so you don’t have to. It’s important for you to rest and have the least amount of stress possible when recovering from an injury. It’s our job to protect your rights and best interests.

Getting Paid Quickly and Not Accepting a Bad Offer

One of the biggest benefits of retaining an injury attorney, again in our opinion, deals with getting paid. Our job, and top priority, is to fight for your best interests. We do not get paid unless you get paid first. So we’ve vested in the success of your case. Getting paid quickly and not accepting a bad offer is tricky, and it requires lots of experience. Our legal team knows how to push for a quick payout, but at the same time, we won’t accept less than we feel you deserve.

Retaining an Experienced Injury Lawyer

If you do believe you need to hire an attorney, retaining an experienced injury lawyer may be a good idea. Not all attorneys are equal when it comes to their background, knowledge, and trial history.
